Nadir Rustamli’s “Fade to Black”
Nadir Rustamli’s “Fade to Black” is representing Azerbaijan in this year’s Eurovision. Nadir has dreamed of being at Eurovision and representing his country ever since he won The Voice of Azerbaijan. “Fade to Black” is his entry, a powerful mid-ballad that displays Nadir’s vocal chops as well as the emotive instrumental that swells with deep sentiments. Although it takes time for Nadir to show his vocal abilities, he does it flawlessly during the chorus as he shows off how powerful he can be yet so quiet at points like the ending.
I think this song has the potential to be a show stopper during the Eurovision if Nadir presents it in an emotional and powerful way, which I believe he can do. I really believe that this song will go to the finals as it has the potential to be a powerful track!
