Wednesday is always a time to celebrate! It is hump day! Two more days until the weekend, time to celebrate! I am starting a new series where I present ten songs that will help you celebrate your Hump Day and make more awesome!

Check out the songs below! What is your favorite song? Let me know in the comments!

    The Mid-Week Pickup for October 5, 2022

“A Different Shade of Blue” by Skeleton Trees

“Through a driving bass line, glistening guitars, atmospheric synths, and 3 part harmonies, “A Different Shade of Blue” comes together like puzzle pieces sliding into place. Self-produced, written, with all instrumentation played by myself. This track is about a life change bringing a new sense of lightness, and a new perspective. Inspired by the layered guitars of bands like The Strokes, but with a softened vibe akin to a band like Local Natives, this song is ready to find a place on summery, uplifting, indie playlists.” — Skeleton Trees

    “Gravity” by Goldie Vargas

“At just 21 years old, Goldie Vargas exudes a musicality wise beyond her years. Her music is the definition of California cool with breezy soundscapes, intimate lyricism, and dreamy melodies. Working with her producer Adam Gurr in Topanga Canyon, Goldie has spent the last two years crafting her debut EP, ‘GOLDEN.’” — Goldie Vargas
    “Let The Player Play” by

For as much as Sammy Rae & The Friends may be a band, this collective of, dreamers, and artists consider itself a family first. Fronted by singer and songwriter Sammy Rae, the group flourishes in any spotlight with a combination of all-for-one and one-for-all camaraderie, palpable chemistry, deft virtuosity, and vocal fireworks. Their sound is a mélange of Sammy’s influences, rooted in classic rock, folk, and funk and sprinkled with soul and jazz. Complete with a rhythm section, horn section, and keyboards, Sammy Rae & The Friends have delivered their high-energy, spirited, and unrestrained shows to sold-out audiences across the US.

    “Moment Of Joy” by FireBug

” The immensely and immeasurably talented Joshua Tree recording artist, Firebug, has given us a taste of what’s to come on their forthcoming psychedelic desert-rock album by teasing us with the old-school-rock-but-never-as-you’ve-heard-it-before single, Moment of Joy.” — FireBug

    “3 Weeks” by Kara Cole

“”3 Weeks” is a story of heartbreak. The pleading of wanting to know why but not asking because it’s a moot point. The story takes you on a journey of what you go through when you lose someone you thought was forever but they’ve moved on and you can’t.” — Kara Cole

“The Undying Sleep” by Gabrielle Ornate

“Get lost in a dreamscape of indulgent synthesis. Hypnotic melodies ignite a summery feeling while putting the world to rights. Let the esoteric message of this memorable tune guide you out of hibernation and reawaken your soul.”

“Love Attention” by Moodssupply x Mishell Ivon

“”Love needs attention, Love is attention” Moodssupply is dropping a new feel-good banger with the amazing vocals of Mishell Ivon. Infectious bassline grooves, supported by Old School House beats creates the base to make you get up your feet & dance. We mixed classic funky vibes with nu-disco sounds to create a timeless feel.
