Post author:Part seven of the Eurovision series! I can’t believe that in about a month’s time, this amazing competition will happen! This post will feature artists and songs from these three countries: Ireland, Moldova, and Switzerland.

McTernan first got into the music industry when she formed the band THE JEDS. Then, in 2015, she was on The Voice of Ireland for a short while. And, four years later, she represented Ireland in the Eurovision Contest. Another interesting fact is that McTernan auditioned to be the representative for San Marino in 2018.
“22” is a soothing that showcases the Irish singer’s husky vocals. It is a perfect song to spend Sunday afternoon, relaxing and listening to these types of songs. It’s a feel-good song, but I think it lacks a certain spark to it. McTernan’s vocals are great but there nothing from the song that gives it that “wow” factor that previous finalists have. Unless this singer does something amazing for the semi-finals, “22” will not make it to the finals. I like the song as it has a really relaxed atmosphere, but it is too ordinary.
Moldova: Anna Odobescu – “Stay”
Have there been any songs you have listened to before remind you of another artist?
I swear “Stay” could easily be a Céline Dion, like one her 90s hits but modernized. Can she make a cover of this song? Please?
“Stay” is Anna Odobescu’s debut song but her vocals don’t sound like she is a new singer she sounds more like a pro! They are strong and powerful! And, the song has dramatic turns that help elevate the Moldovian’s vocals to greatness. Now, she is no Céline Dion. But, Odobescu has the same vocal color and energy as Dion. Due to this and the brilliance found in “Stay,” Odobescu will definitely perform brightly at the semi-finals and win a spot for the finals.
I love “Stay” and it will be a fan-favorite leading up to the finals.
Switzerland: Luca Hänni – “She Got Me”
He released many albums and singles since his debut. And, when it became 2019, Hänni was selected to represent his home country for the Eurovision contest.
“She Got Me” is slick, Latin beat tune that will have you want to get up and dance. I love the Latin beat! It is refreshing and so addictive! But also, Hänni’s vocals are perfect for this song as the vocals changes tonal colors in certain sections. With the vocals, the melody, and the Latin-influenced beat, “She Got Me” will be a favorite in the finals and will have the crowd dancing.
