“Anyways” features analog-synth riffs that call back to the musical soundscape of the 80s. However, there is a sort of a throwback to the 90s and early 2000s with its old-school R&B rhythms and soulful melodies. Over this retro musicality are the artist’s vocals soaked with emotional and vulnerable tones. Yet, she breathes life into melodies with her sultry vocals that captivate listeners with their grandness. With a combination of all these musical elements, Amy creates a cinematic masterpiece inside of “Anyways” with nostalgic sounds, vulnerability, and creative melodies.

About the Artist: Amy Correa Bell
Her sound can be described as a mesh of her inspirations- 90s Alternative, Hip Hop & Alt RnB, Electronic and Iconic pop from the 80s onward. A Southern California Latina native with roots firmly planted in the Equestrian Area of the San Fernando Valley, Amy honors her influences from this area, including Ritchie Valens, Patrick Swayze, Marvin Gaye, and Danny Trejo.
Growing up as a child actress in the film industry made for an easy transition to her first record deal in the early 2000s with all-girl pop band Gyrlz Society. She’s continued to perform and tour in multiple punk-pop bands and later as a solo artist in 2018 – when she was introduced to the music industry by her husband Ricky Bell of New Edition and Bell Biv Devoe with their first single and collaboration “Gold”. Ricky has mentored her to be disciplined in honoring the craft of songwriting, creating, and performing.
Her releases leave us feeling something nostalgic, and we get to see her growth as well as understand where she is in her personal life and artistic journey. We get to experience Amy, a triple threat who is enjoying melding all of her talents as the artist she has always dreamed of becoming.
