Today’s Daily Feature is “Primal Rage” by Japanese pop-rock band 101. It’s such a mellow tune that features an acoustic guitar, synthesized strings, light, bright vocals, and heartbeat-like percussion. Actually, this musical style that the band uses reminds me of the Japanese pop band SEKAI NO OWARI. Both bands have songs that feature that acoustic guitar song, bright vocals with a hint of autotune added in, and lyrics that talk about human nature.
However, don’t fool as the whole song doesn’t feature that feel-good, light vibe. Just check out the bridge as it has a different type of energy. I cannot spoil it here, you just have to listen it. But, don’t worry, it isn’t bad, yet it is a perfect change of pace that adds a well-balanced climax.
